Lynn Anderson De Mott, LICSW

For over thirty-five years, I have treated individuals, couples, and families using psychodynamic psychotherapy, an in-depth form of talk therapy based on theories and principles of psychoanalysis. It is focused on the internal and external experiences of the patient. This form of therapy explores aspects of the self that are not known, especially as they manifest in one’s life and the therapy relationship. This is done through a process of reflection, exploration, and discovery of the self in the context of a safe relationship.

I work with individuals, couples, and families to address the following:

  • Depression and dysthymia

  • Anxiety disorders including panic, generalized anxiety

  • Relationship difficulties, impending or post-divorce

  • Life transitions (changing jobs, relationships, moving)

  • Grief and loss

  • Integration of trauma

  • School and work-related stress

  • Finding meaning in your life

  • Struggles related to cultural and racial identity

  • Struggles with spirituality and religion

  • Coping with chronic illness

  • End of life issues
